About Silver Watch Batteries
What is the letter "S" in the name of Watch Batteries?
The IEC code "S" in the name of a battery means that it is a Silver Oxide Battery.
What are Silver Oxide Batteries used for?
The most common use is watch batteries. Since Silver Oxide batteries discharge very slowly, they are ideal for watches, in which these batteries can work for some three to five years before discharging.

Silver Oxide Batteries produce a charge that last some 3 to 5 times that of Alkaline batteries of the same size. They are also recyclable.
